Product Summary

Application

The model PTR-3-90VAC Modular (MD) or Hard
Wire (HW) is designed to produce a pleasant but
“attention getting” tone.  The PTR-3-90VAC wall
mount extension tone ringer will function as a
completely independent ringing device.  No
external power supply is required. The application
common audible ringing eliminates the need to
program numerous phones to ring one location
such as sales or service centers.  The
PTR-3-90VAC produces a warbled tone
following the incoming ring cycle.

Installation

The PTR-3-90VACMD unit connects to a standard
telephone line, the station port of a hybrid key
system or PABX. Just plug the 6’ modular line
cord into a standard telephone line jack or
extension port.  The model PTR-3-90VAC is wall
mounted via two (2) #6 x 3/4” pan head self
tapping screws provided. See Figure #1.

The PTR-3-90VACHW unit connects through a
screw terminal block mount on the PC Board.  
Remove the front cover from the unit.
NOTE:  Speaker is attached to front cover so
CAUTION must be observed.  
Connect the Tip
and Ring wires to the two (2) position terminal
block per Figure #2. Replace front cover. The
model PTR-3-90VACHW is wall mounted via two
(2) #6 x 3/4” pan head self tapping screws
provided. See Figure #2.  Test the unit and set
the proper audio level by turning potentiometer
P1 volume control in a clockwise motion for
maximum level.
